Resilience

How much of it do you have? Resilience is imperative to making changes and progress in your life. Resilience is especially important when you are going through duress and difficult times. This where your resilience gets tested.

Here’s what you need to know: You have more strength than you think. Trust me on this. Humans have an innate ability to push through. Resilience can be learnt and strengthened through self compassion, self awareness and learning to reframe your thoughts.

Never underestimate that your sense of purpose will further drive your resilience. Take the time to truly think about what is important to you and how much you want it. Knowing this will go a long way to determining your resilience.

Does your voice get heard generally? Therapy helps.

CEO of Overthinking

Overthinking

We all do it at times. However, 3am or thereabout is often the magic hour for overthinking. That seems to be when the tendency for overthinking magically seems to transform these thoughts into facts. Overthinking also comes into play when one second guesses oneself. Overthinking can lead to procrastination, self doubt and an inability to make decisions. It can also mean we doubt our decisions when we do make them. Overthinking often stems from self doubt, a lack of confidence and sometimes a tendency to want to please, or a tendency for perfectionism.

Overthinking can lead to stagnation and self sabotage.

Set yourself a time limit to ruminate on a thought. If you find yourself going down a rabbit hole of alternative scenarios/outcomes/self recrimination, change direction. Literally negotiate with yourself to say you will revisit this the next day or at another time. Set a time limit to indulge yourself. Or alternatively, therapy helps.
